Recently I've been spending time on homework, projects and exams we had to do before break. This is ok though, because we will be away from the monastery for 20 days. In my free time I've been taking walks, bike rides, and enjoying the increasingly nice weather. This past Thursday it was in the 70's. I had a lot of anatomy studying to do but i decided to take a break after lunch for a bike ride. It was so refreshing, perfect weather. Whenever I got back from the bike ride, I spent the afternoon studying on a blanket in the sun. I was able to get a little sun while studying and it felt great. The next day was gorgeous too.
Yesterday I started packing because tomorrow, I LEAVE FOR AVIGNON AND THEN PARIS!!! We'll stay in Avignon a couple of days before heading up to Paris. We'll spend about 5 days exploring Paris. Our professor gave us our Itinerary....some of the things we get to see are:
*Eiffel Tower!!
*Musee d'Orsay
*Louvre!!
*Galerie Mona Lisa
*Arc de Triomphe
*We do a ceremony of putting a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
*Visit assigned Museums
*International Mass Notre Dame de Paris
* The Quartier Latin
*Visit Marais, Place des Vosges, Musee du The (Tea)
*Versailles
We have multiple things for each day, I just chose some of the main ones to share. I can't wait....
Last night we watched the movie "Midnight in Paris." It was a great movie, I recommend that you watch it. It made me extremely excited for Paris, as if i wasn't already.
After Paris, on the 14th, Hannah, Allison, Megha, Kayla, and I will be flying to Ireland! We will be there for St. Patrick's Day and then leave for Rome on the 18th. In Rome we will meet up with some of the guys and stay there until we return to the monastery on the 24th. I'm a little nervous about all the traveling. I hope that all our flights and transportation works out. It's gonna be a crazy next couple of weeks, lots of things to do and see. I'm sure that whenever I return to the monastery I will be pretty worn out.
It's crazy to think that when we return on the 24th, I will only have about a month left here in France. The time is going really fast. The first month here seemed to go a lot slower, but now the time is flying by. Before I know it I'll be on a plane home.
Today I have to get some more packing and school work done so I'll be ready to leave tomorrow! I'm also planning on doing a couple skype sessions while I still can.
I won't have my computer on the trip, but I will be sharing one with some of the girls, so hopefully I can blog regularly. I will also be writing in my journal.
Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to travel the world!!
Au Revoir!
Bises!
